According to report of International Commission on Large Dams, there are 150 dams of 15 meter of height of 49 ft. are in Pakistan. Pakistan has also the advantage of having two largest dams in the world namely Tarbela Dam ranked first and Mangla Dam ranked seven.
The Chief Justice of Supreme Court of Pakistan established a Supreme Court of Pakistan Diamer Bhasha and Mohmand Dams Fund on 10th July, 2018 to raise funds for the construction of Diamer Bhasha and Mohmand Dams. The Honorable Court supervises the Fund and its Registrar operates its account directly.
Later, the Prime Minister of Pakistan announced to join efforts with the Chief Justice of Pakistan for this cause. Accordingly, the fund was renamed as “Prime Minister and Chief Justice of Pakistan Fund for Diamer Bhasha and Mohmand Dam.
97 Differently able children of CFCBR also contributed towards the noble cause and deposited their donation in Allied Bank Blue Area Islamabad.
