Improving the well-being of mothers, infants, and children is an important public
health goal for St.
Thomas CBR Project. Their well-being determines the health of the next
generation and can help predict future public health challenges
for families, communities, and the health care system.
Decreasing the rates of maternal mortality and morbidity in developing countries is
important because poor maternal health is both an indicator and a cause of extreme poverty. "Maternal deaths are both caused by poverty and are a cause of it.
Health Impact of Maternal, Infant,
and Child Health care provide an
opportunity to identify existing health risks and to
prevent future health problems for
women and their children.
One day Mother
& Child Care Combined Session by St. Thomas CBR Staff & Shifa
