Poverty is one of the major social
issue, people in slums are unable to fulfill their basic needs due to low
earning and high expenditures. Lack of
health facilities, education, training's, and social issues reduced the
abilities of people living in those areas.
St. Thomas C.B.R project reaching out to
the 11 slums providing protection to children, creating awareness about child rights, abuse, and domestic violence. Health care to women and children. In addition St.
Thomas C.B.R project is looking after the needs of 97 differently able children by
providing them Medical Treatments, Food Supplements, Basic Education and
regular fellow up for their well being.
Poverty and house hold deprivation have
implications for the future of the inhabitants, their social economic and
demographic characteristics.
Excess population, bad management of
solid waste disposal, polluted water and other crucial issues will challenge
the future settlement conditions at the slums.
St. Thomas C.B.R Project has brought
considerable changes in the 11 communities of Islamabad. Project reaches out to
the children, their families and communities. C.B.R focuses on the sociol economic
issues of the under privileged and will empower them for sustainable and favorable circumstances.
